Simple and a fun sensory activity for your toddlers!

🐧❄️ Ice Rescue: A Fun Frozen Activity for Toddlers! ❄️🐻

Yesterday, I had a spark of inspiration πŸ’‘ and decided to try a simple sensory activity for my little one. I placed some of his beloved animal toys 🦁🐘🦊 inside a silicone cupcake mold 🧁, added water, and put them in the freezer overnight 🧊.

This morning, right after breakfast πŸ₯£, I took out the frozen animal cupcakes and placed them in a big bowl. The mission? To rescue the animals! πŸ†˜ We used warm water to melt the ice and free his tiny friends — and it was a huge hit!

The goal of the activity was to help him understand the concept of ice and melting in a hands-on, exciting way. Watching the ice turn into water was fascinating for him, and it kept him engaged long enough for me to finally enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee ☕ (moms, you know how precious that is!).

I set him up safely on his learning tower πŸͺœ, which made it easy for him to join in without turning the kitchen into a splash zone. It was our first time trying this — and definitely not the last!

Pro tip: Use a large plastic bowl and a spoon so your toddler can chip away at the ice too! πŸ₯„❄️

I love these simple, mess-free (well… almost πŸ˜…) activities that combine learning and play. If you're looking for a fun, low-prep idea for your toddler, give this one a try!

πŸ“Œ Would you try this with your little one? Let me know in the comments!
